We’ve been watching and enjoying countless new episodes, playing anime-based games, and getting to know the genre up close and personal since the 1980s, when anime began to gain popularity outside of Japan. Who can enjoy the ingenuity and imagination of a good anime series has no age restriction. They have some of the most complex plots and action sequences. They have occasionally elicited an emotional response from me. Some are true works of art in terms of design and storyline. There are those die-hard anime fans who might not agree with all of my choices.

Japanese manga has added some fantastic titles to its anime repertoire in the last year. In addition to classic series, there are a slew of originals that are holding their own against well-established franchises. The streaming service made a point of introducing a diverse range of genres, with lots of action, comedy, and romantic shows to select from. There are hundreds of anime series that are streaming on different platforms. These are not only limited to a particular language but have an expanded reach in various languages and countries.

Parasyte is also one of the most popular animated series of Japan that was released in 2014.  From 1988 until 1995, Hitoshi Iwaaki wrote and illustrated the science fiction horror manga series Parasyte, which was published in Kodansha’s Morning Open Zkan and Monthly Afternoon magazines.

In North America, the manga ‘Parasyte’ was first published by Tokyopop, then Del Rey, and eventually Kodansha Comics. In Japan, the manga was turned into two live-action films, one in 2014 and the other in 2015. Between October 2014 and March 2015, Madhouse aired an anime television series adaptation named Parasyte -the maxim- in Japan. The first season of ‘Parasyte- The Maxim’ was a hit and the audience really liked the show. Now, people are waiting for Parasyte Season 2. Story Plot

Shinichi Izumi, a 17-year-old male high school student who lives with his mother and father in a peaceful suburb in Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Japan, is the protagonist of Parasyte. Parasites, small worm-like aliens with drill-like heads, descend on Earth one night and take over their victims’ brains by entering through their ears or nostrils. One parasite tries to crawl into Shinichi’s nose while he sleeps, but when he wakes up, it is too late, and the parasite burrows into his arm instead. In the Japanese version, it takes over his right hand and is given the name Migi, which means ‘right’ in Japanese. Shinichi was able to keep Migi from traveling any further up into his brain, so both entities retain their own intellects and personalities.

As the pair encounters more parasites, they take advantage of their unusual situation and create a deep friendship, working together to survive. This offers them an advantage when fighting other parasites, who routinely assault the couple when they realize Shinichi’s human brain is still intact. Shinichi is driven to combat other parasites that prey on other members of the species they infect.

The series delves into philosophical issues such as what it is to be human, how humans interact with the environment and other species, the significance of instinct and love, and morality’s intrinsic anthropocentrism. Shinichi’s encounter with Migi leads him to doubt whether mankind has any moral advantage over the Parasites. Migi and Reiko Tamura, on the other hand, have taken on more human characteristics such as love and sacrifice as a result of their interactions with humans. So, this is the main plot of Parasyte.

Will ‘Parasyte: The Maxim’ Season 2 get released?

The first season of the show became a major hit and since then, the news of the second season of the Parasyte has been coming. However, there is no such confirmation yet from the producers of the show. Season 2 is unlikely to return to Netflix at this time. This is disappointing news for fans who were looking forward to the second season’s premiere. There is currently no information that can confirm its return. The show’s cancellation, however, has not been notified. The show’s creators will most likely find another means to keep the show going. Netflix may renew it if it benefits commercially, as there is a shortage of content that may contribute to season 2 of Parasyte: The Maxim. This uncertainty concerning the show’s second season stems from this fact.

Is Parasyte: The Maxim Season 2 Cancelled?

Following its premiere, the anime’s first season garnered a fantastic response. The show’s storyline, character development, and music were appreciated by both viewers and critics. As a result, when the first season ended, many assumed that the second would follow soon after. That, however, did not occur. Madhouse Animation Studio appears to be pleased with the end of the show that they have provided in the first season. Let’s see whether they will release the second season or not.

Parasyte Season 2 Release Date

Season 1 of ‘Parasyte’ premiered on October 9, 2014, and ended on March 29, 2015, with a total of 24 episodes. On May 15, 2020, all 24 episodes of the anime were released on Netflix. The anime’s creators, Madhouse Studio, never renewed it for a second season. Furthermore, the anime’s first season’s conclusion is strikingly similar to the manga’s original conclusion. So, there is no release date allotted for the Parasyte season 2. Still, it is not very good news for the fans who were excited about another part.
