The limitless movie came out in 2011 and has been loved by many. So it is obvious that there was a lot of chatter around the release of the Limitless series.

The first season of Limitless received a lot of attention since it was an interesting spin-off of the movie. Just like the movie, the first season managed to keep the viewers engaged. But the big question is- will there be a second season?

Limitless is an American comedy-drama television series that aired on CBS in September 2015. The Limitless movie, from which the series is derived, was inspired by a 2001 novel- ‘The Dark Fields’.

Limitless series begins almost four years after the movie ended. So there are a lot of gaps to fill, which makes this series all the more enjoyable.

Limitless Season 2

Limitless series revolves around the actions of a nootropic drug named NZT-48. Brian Finch, the central character of this series, discovers that the drug NZT-48 enhances your performance as a human. This drug unlocks the full potential of one’s brain, thus allowing them to perform enhanced mental activities.

One can draw some similarities between Limitless and the movie ‘Lucy’ where the character of Scarlet Johansson is exposed to drugs which practically turns her into a superhuman. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? But more power leads to more dangers. The use of drugs follows severe side effects and puts the main character in grave danger.

The first season ended in 2016, and that was quite a cliffhanger. But sadly, CBS has made it clear that there will not be another season.
