Gregg Leakes was an American reality TV personality and a real estate investor. Gregg was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 18, 1954.
Gregg was not a well-known personality at first. However, he became known to the public thanks to his relationship with NeNe Johnson, a reality TV star.
Gregg was a self-taught businessman. He worked as a real estate consultant and investor. He met NeNe in 1996 when she was working as an exotic dancer in Atlanta.
In 1997, Gregg and NeNe got married. On February 22, 1999, Gregg and NeNe welcomed their first son named Brent.
However, it’s important to take note that Gregg already had 5 kids from previous relationships before he got married to NeNe. Unfortunately, the mothers of these kids are unknown to the public.
Gregg found out that he has stage 3 colon cancer in 2018. After trying holistic remedies at first, Gregg decided to undergo chemotherapy.
In May 2019, Gregg announced that he was cancer-free. Unfortunately, NeNe announced in June 2021 that cancer returned and that Gregg was in the hospital trying to recover.
On September 1, 2021, Gregg passed away due to colon cancer. Gregg was 66 years old when he died.

Denton Leakes’ mother is Linnethia Monique Johnson. However, she’s commonly known as NeNe Leakes. She is an American fashion designer, author, businesswoman, presenter, actress, and TV personality.
NeNe was born in Queens, New York City on December 13, 1967. She’s best known for appearing on the TV reality show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”.
She also appeared on Glee as Roz Washington, a recurring character in the show.
As mentioned above, NeNe met Gregg when she was working as an Exotic Dancer and got married in 1997.
It’s important to know that NeNe had a son from a previous relationship before getting married to Gregg.
NeNe and Gregg only had 1 son as a couple named Brent Leakes. Brent was born on February 29, 1999.
NeNe and Gregg separated in 2010. On April 29, 2010, NeNe filed for divorce. On September 29, 2011, the divorce was finalized.
