Steven Tyler was born on March 26, 1948, in Manhattan. At the time of birth, he was named as Steven Victor Tallarico. When he joined the stage, he started introducing himself as Steven Tyler. He was born to Victro A. Tallarico who was a musician and pianist and Susan Roy. His father had Italian ancestry while his mother had a blend of Polish and English ancestry. When he was three years old, he moved with his parents and sister to the Bronx. At the age of nine, he once again moved to Yonkers.
He went to Roosevelt High School from where he was expelled because he was caught abusing drugs. Later on, he attended Quintano’s School for Young Professionals and graduated as well. As a teenager, he was fond of Rolling Stones. People who were close to him often said that he resembled with Mick Jagger.
He married twice. His first marriage was with Cyrinda Foxe. The couple tied the knot in 1978 and had a daughter together who was named Mia Tyler. Steven Tyler went watched the performance of the Jam Band in 1969. Joe Perry, the guitarist of the band teamed up with Tom Hamilton for playing the bass. Both of them, later on, became the bandmates of Steven Tyler. Although Steven Tyler was nothing and he had nothing yet he had lofty dreams of forming a rock band. He had already started writing songs and music. In fact, his famous single ‘Dream On’ had already been written.
He formed the Aerosmith band in 1970. Steven Tyler was the frontman of the band while Perry and Hamilton played guitar and bass. Joey Kramer joined them to play the drums while Ray Tabano played rhythm guitar for the band. Later on, the band shifted to Boston to launch music. However, they couldn’t get along for a longer period and Tabano had to be replaced with Brad Whitford.
The band started their first tour around the Boston club circuit. They won their break when they got the opportunity to perform at Max’s Kansas City nightclub in 972. They showcased music to the executives of the company and secured a deal with Columbia Records.
