Steven Tyler was born on March 26, 1948, in Manhattan. At the time of birth, he was named as Steven Victor Tallarico. When he joined the stage, he started introducing himself as Steven Tyler. He was born to Victro A. Tallarico who was a musician and pianist and Susan Roy. His father had Italian ancestry while his mother had a blend of Polish and English ancestry. When he was three years old, he moved with his parents and sister to the Bronx. At the age of nine, he once again moved to Yonkers.
He went to Roosevelt High School from where he was expelled because he was caught abusing drugs. Later on, he attended Quintano’s School for Young Professionals and graduated as well. Steven Tyler went watched the performance of the Jam Band in 1969. Joe Perry, the guitarist of the band teamed up with Tom Hamilton for playing the bass. He had already started writing songs and music. In fact, his famous single ‘Dream On’ had already been written.

Whitford and Perry parted their ways from the band to work on other projects.
