Annabelle’s father is Jerome John Garcia. He was an American songwriter, singer, and guitarist.
Jerome is best known for being the vocalist, the lead guitarist, and main songwriter for the rock band “Grateful Dead”.
Jerome was the founder member of the band. They became popular during the counterculture of the 1960s. While he denied the role, Jerome was considered by many as the band’s leader.
In 1994, Jerome was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Grateful Dead.
Jerome was also known for his technical and musical ability. This is especially true for his ability to play a range of instruments and sustain long improvisations with the band.
According to Jerome, improvisation took the stress away from his playing. It also enabled him to make spur of the moment decisions that he wouldn’t have intentionally made.

Jerome John Garcia Early Life
On his father’s side, Jerome’s ancestors were from Galicia in northwest Spain. His mother’s ancestors were Swedish and Irish.
Jerome was born on August 1, 1942, in the Excelsior District of San Francisco, California. His mother is Ruth Marie Clifford Garcia and his father is Jose Ramon Garcia.
Jerome’s parents named him after Jerome Kern, a well-known composer. Jerome John was their second child.
Jerome’s father leased a building in downtown San Francisco and transformed it into a bar.
At an early age, Jerome was influenced by music. He took piano lessons for much of his childhood. His mother loved playing the piano and his father was a retired professional musician.
During reunions, his father’s extended family would often sing. Thus, Jerome was exposed to music when he was still a child.
Jerome died on August 9, 1995, in his room. According to the doctors, the cause of death was a heart attack.

Annabelle’s mother is Carolyn Elizabeth Adams. She was born in Poughkeepsie, New York on May 6, 1946.
In 1963, Carolyn traveled to Palo Alto, California with her older brother. She got a job at Stanford University. Unfortunately, she was fired after she dipped into the experimental psychedelic chemicals she was studying.
In 1975, Adams and Garcia divorced after Garcia started a relationship with Deborah Koons.
While Adams and Garcia reconciled after the dissolution of his relationship with Koons, they stopped living together a year later due to Garcia’s addictions to cocaine and heroin.
