Indian Ann Sushil Sood (born April 6, 2002) is a Canadian singer-songwriter known for her emotional ballads and mezzo-soprano vocal range. Born in Toronto, Ontario, and raised in Brampton, Sood began her musical journey at four when she started taking piano lessons.
She was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome and struggled to find her place in the world as a child. However, music became her outlet, and she soon performed on stage.

Sood’s musical career began in 2016 when she independently released her debut single, “Closer.” The song was met with positive reviews and led to Sood being signed by Universal Music Canada. She terminated her self-titled debut EP in 2017, including the singles “Line by Line” and “Mercy.” In 2018, Sood released her first full-length album, This Place Called Home. The album featured the singles “Wildfire” and “Not Enough.”
Sood’s debut single, “I’ll Be Okay”, was released in 2016 and quickly went viral, garnering over one million views on YouTube. The song’s success led to her being featured on several major Canadian radio stations and Television programs. In 2017, she terminated her debut EP, entitled “The Cure”. The EP received critical acclaim and led to Sood being nominated for two Juno Awards.

Sood is currently working on her second studio album, which will be released in 2019. She has released two singles from the album, “Ghost” and “Hurricane.” Sood is also set to embark on her first headlining tour in 2019.
I am so excited for India Ann Sushil Sood’s new album coming out this year! I loved her debut album, This Place Called Home, and I think her second album will be even better. I can’t stay to hear more new music from her and see her perform live on tour.
